Ford Escape

The results are in on this Bold Move: Escape is the best-selling small SUV in America. And there is a lot of evidence to back it up: This SUV is small outside and Big inside. It has a 60/40 split bench seat in the back that makes it easy to reconfigure the cargo area for hauling just about anything. The available Intelligent 4WD System is always on, monitors traction and automatically adjusts torque distribution as necessary. The potent, available 200-hp V6 engine and its automatic transmission feature smooth shifting, great launch feel, and smooth idle. Towing capability is 3,500 lbs. when properly equipped. This V6 is standard on XLT Sport and Limited, and available on XLT.

Escape Hybrid was the first full hybrid SUV in the world. It was named “North American Truck of the Year” at the 2005 Detroit International Auto Show for combining traditional vehicle performance with the efficiency of hybrid technology. More recently, Edmunds.com ranked it as the “Most Fuel-Efficient SUV for 2006.” The electric motor alone is capable of moving the vehicle smoothly and efficiently up to 25 mph. However, it can combine with the gasoline engine to provide added boost when accelerating off the line and when passing. It helps provide V6-like acceleration and a sporty 155 horsepower.

Ford Sport Trac

Sport Trac has made the Bold Move to give you more of everything for 2007. More strength. More room. More power. You might say it’s solid proof that “more is better.” Let’s start with more safety: This SUV received a government 5-Star crash test rating for all four crash seating positions. And… a Five-Star Rating for Frontal crash. And…The Five-Star Rating for Side-Impact crash. To help achieve all that, they made the vehicle 427% stiffer, thanks to an all-new fully boxed frame with more than 5 times greater torsional rigidity. That means improved agility and responsive handling. To add to this, there’s standard RSC software – plus an anti-lock braking system, traction control and yaw control. These dynamically enhance stability. Under the hood, the available 4.6L 3-valve V8 and 6-speed transmission is all with 292 hp and 300 lb-ft. of torque – that’s 42% more than before! Inside, a more spacious interior now provides comfort for all passengers. It includes an automatic floor shifter, and a new instrument panel with 2-line message center display. For music, the Audiophile® Sound System has a new 8” subwoofer with 190-watt amplifier plus 6-disc CD changer and navigation system. For 120 channels of entertainment, SIRIUS Satellite Radio is available. Another forward-looking idea is the new, optional heated windshield. It uses microthin tungsten heating elements embedded in the glass to keep your vision clear. The 26.7% larger cargo bed has a corrosion-proof, sheet-molded composite exterior. It is also deeper and has three integrated tie-down hooks on each side rail. The available add-on cargo cage Bed Extender allows you to open Sport Trac’s tailgate and use it to expand cargo room… or section-off the cargo box when the tailgate is closed.

Ford Explorer

Ford Explorer was a Bold Move when it first appeared. And it’s even Bolder now…offering one of the greatest values in its class given its innovation, features, content, power, safety, comfort and value. It has literally set the bar when it comes to the design of sport utility vehicles in America. In 2006 and 2007, this SUV received a 5-star crash test rating for all four crash seating positions. It also helps protect you with its standard Intelligent Safety System and standard side-impact airbags. Your peace of mind is enhanced through the patented Safety Canopy™ System, offering improved 1st- and 2nd-row outboard occupant protection. It is standard on Eddie Bauer and Limited and available on XLT. Adaptive dual-stage front airbags use a venting system that tailors airbag size to occupant size. Plus, the front passenger's airbag features a first-in-class adaptive airbag tether to help tailor airbag shape and size to the passenger's needs. Second row seats fold out of the way to allow easy access to the available 3rd-row seating, featuring a 50/50 split design with manual or optional PowerFold operation. In the optional 7-passenger seating configuration, the 2nd-and 3rd-row seatbacks fold and tumble out of the way. The available DVD-based Navigation System features class-exclusive intersection programming that calls out upcoming street names, rather than just telling you which direction to turn. The 4.6L V8 uses 3-valve technology to help produce 292 horsepower and 300 ft.-lb. of torque. It’s teamed with a first-in-class 6-speed automatic transmission. In extreme driving situations, standard AdvanceTrac with first-in-class Roll Stability Control to helps make those situations less difficult. AdvanceTrac with RSC is an electronic stability enhancement system consisting of anti-lock brake system, traction control, yaw control and a vehicle-roll motion sensor. Through computer-control, they give you greater driving control and peace of mind when you get behind the wheel in any driving situation.

Ford Expedition

Expedition is the only full-size SUV to receive the government’s highest 5-star front crash test rating, for both driver and passenger, every year since 2000. That’s not only a Bold Move… it’s Bold Performance! In addition, there’s a 3-row Safety Canopy, side air bags and class-exclusive AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) standard. AdvanceTrac helps give you greater driving control and peace of mind in any driving situation. The all-new EL (extended length) model provides extra cargo room with 24 additional cu. ft. of cargo space versus the base vehicle. The fold-flat 3rd row seat is designed to accommodate even tall adults. And the class-exclusive optional PowerFold feature provides enhanced cargo space with best in class 3rd row legroom. Available features include adjustable pedals, a power liftgate and keyless entry keypad. There’s also a Reverse Sensing System and available voice-activated DVD-based Navigation System. The optional Rear Seat DVD Entertainment System includes an 8" LCD monitor and wireless headphones. Of course, SIRIUS Satellite Radio is available, too. Under the hood, there’s a 5.4L 3-valve Triton V8 that pumps out 300 horsepower with 365 lb.-ft of torque. Towing capacity is 9,200 lbs. Outstanding control is on tap with an all-new 2nd generation Independent Rear Suspension… plus, an available ControlTrac® 4x4 system for low traction situations.

Ford F-150

The F-150 has been America’s best-selling pickup for over 30 years. That’s more than a Bold Move. It’s a close-out. Ever wonder why? Here are just a few reasons: It has the highest available payload capacity plus the most cargo box volume in its class. With a whopping 11,000 lbs. of towing capacity, no other light-duty pickup even comes close. The powerful 5.4L 3-Valve Triton V8 is available in a Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) version capable of running on gasoline, Ethanol, or any blend of the two. It’s a no-cost option that lets you decide right at the pump. Just fill up with your fuel of choice. The new FX2 SPORT’S V8 power makes it a solid part of the family, but it also has the kind of style and attitude that gets it second looks. Standard for 2007 are the Tire Pressure Monitoring System and the available Rear Seat entertainment System. There’s also a Chrome Package for both the popular XLT and the luxurious Lariat with stylish features such as 18” chrome aluminum wheels and 5" chrome tubular step bars. The Chrome Package offers refined features such as a unique chrome billet grille, chrome mirror caps, chrome tow hooks, chrome exhaust tip, chrome tie-down hooks and 5” chrome tubular step bars. The 5.4L Triton is the standard V8 powerplant. With 300 peak horsepower and 365 lb.-ft. of torque, the 5.4L generates all the power you may ever need. Among its many features is the only multi-valve (3 valves per cylinder) induction system in its class. Move up from there and you’re now in V10 territory with the optional 6.8L Triton, the most powerful gas-powered engine in a full-size pickup. Like the 5.4L, it features a free-breathing multi-valve (3 valves per cylinder) induction system. But there’s one more step to go: The Power Stroke Turbo Diesel. With its massive 570 lb.-ft. of torque, Power Stroke has more pulling power than any other diesel in a full-size pickup. Behind these engines, the TorqShift transmission has everything you could ask for in today’s advanced 5-speed gearbox. Ford engineers designed the suspension system to deliver all the toughness and control you’d expect with its beefy radius control arms to its ready-for-anything components.

Ford Focus

Ford Focus just keeps on getting better. Here’s proof in a couple of Bold Moves: A Street Appearance Package, helps it stay at the head of the pack in distinctive sport car fashion. Choose from a sporty 3-door hatchback, roomier 5-door hatchback, stylish 4-door sedan, or spacious wagon. You will also find a 151-hp Duratec engine, performance-tuned suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS, 16” alloy wheels with low-profile tires, sport bucket seats, rally gauges and much more. Drive an ST 4-door sedan and you’ll get to know very quickly what the Focus driving experience is all about. So make a Bold Move yourself and visit the family on holidays, or take that road trip you’ve’ been putting off.

Ford Fusion

As its name implies, Fusion brings it all together in a number of Bold Moves. Looks. Appeal. Economy and more. In fact, this car received the highest numerical score among midsize cars in the proprietary J.D. Power and Associates 2006 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout Study. It’s research designed to measure owner delight with the design, content, layout and performance of new vehicles. But there’s more than style to this midsize sedan. It also brings some relief to your wallet by delivering up to 31 mpg on the highway with the 2.3L Duratec I-4 160 hp engine. From there, you can get into the fast lane with an available V6 and 6-speed automatic transmission. This is also a midsize sedan with bold design features… such as the 3-bar chrome grille and quad-beam headlamps. A high decklid gives it an aggressive stance, while performance tires provide plenty of grip. The available leather-trimmed seats with contrast stitching are comfortable and stylish. Interior detail also extends to the instrument panel, which features carbon-fiber accents on SE models and wood appliqué or piano black finish on SEL models. For safety, there’s standard front side impact airbags and 1st- and 2nd-row side-impact air curtains. Also standard is the anti-theft perimeter alarm system.

Ford 500

The Ford 500 is a legend in Bold Moves. It’s also a car that combines an edgy contemporary look with power, fuel economy, safety and passenger comfort. From the outside, a new Chrome Package, allows the elegant style of this sedan to really shine with a chrome mesh grille and 18” 8-spoke chrome clad wheels. Inside, you’ll find best-in-class interior space and rear passenger leg and head room. It’s all designed so you and your passengers ride in total style and complete comfort. Up front, there’s Command Seating. This means the driver’s seat sits higher off the floor, providing easy entry, exit, a more upright seating position… and a better view of the road. What’s more, SIRIUS Satellite Radio is now available as a factory-installed option. Get more than 120 music, sports, news and talk channels at your fingertips. Under the rear deck lid, there’s a Best-in-class 21.2 cubic feet of trunk space that will hold eight full-size golf bags or whatever else you need to carry. There’s peace-of-mind for safety too. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s highest crash test rating is 5 stars. Not surprisingly, this car has achieved all 5 stars in not only the front crash test for the driver and passenger, but also the side crash test for front and rear passengers. With Front-Wheel Drive, you get a 3.0L Duratec V6 and 6-speed automatic. It delivers smooth power and quick acceleration. The 3.0L Duratec with available All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and Traction Control features the Continuously Variable Transaxle (CVT) to optimize power and efficiency in all driving conditions. All-Wheel Drive distributes up to 100% of torque to the rear wheels to enhance traction when conditions require it. Traction Control improves control in poor conditions by limiting wheel spin.

Ford Crown Victoria

Crown Victoria is a Bold Move in its own right. But it dresses that character with sophisticated luxury, style, and a generous portion of safety. This car has received the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s highest “5-Star” front crash test safety rating for the driver and front passenger. And it won this honor 12 years in a row. That’s impressive. It also has standard features such as anti-lock brakes and the Personal Safety System which offers outstanding protection and security. In many conditions, the power to maneuver is important to safety as well. So under the hood, there’s a 4.6L V8 with dual exhausts that generates 239 horsepower. The upgraded rear air suspension and touring tires enhance the silky smooth ride. What’s more, a full frame combines with rear drive for a balanced and even feel of the road.

Ford Mustang

Mustang is the original Bold Move. It was Bold in 1964, and it still is today. And this pony car has lost none of it road presence or charisma along the way. It is one of history’s most celebrated muscle cars, and can prove the point at the drop of your right foot. Between the coupe and convertible, there are a dozen models to choose from… all the way up to the outrageous Shelby GT500. And as part of a new comfort package, front passengers get 6-way power adjustable seats. Both front seats are also heated. A new Interior Sport Package features black components combined with bright and satin aluminum accents to make the interior truly dynamic. It also includes a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Under the hood, three engine choices deliver a broad range of power: A V6 displaces 4.0 liters, generates 210 hp and 240 lbs.-ft. of torque. A 4.6L 24-valve V8 is rated at 300 hp and 320 lbs.-ft of torque in the GT. A 5.4L supercharged/intercooled, 32-valve V8 cranks out an incredible 500 hp and 480 lbs.-ft. of torque in the new Shelby GT500. It all goes to prove that nothing runs like a Mustang.
